CONKLIN, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say a teen is in custody after allegedly shooting his sister’s dog.
According to officials, on January 2 at about 11:30 a.m. they responded to a 911 call stating a dog had been shot outside a home in the town of Conklin.
An investigation determined that 19-year-old Kobe Hanns had been in a dispute with his sister because her 4-year-old pit bull had just urinated inside their home.
Police say after he threatened to kill her pet, he took the dog outside and shot it to death with a shotgun.
Hanns was arraigned in the Town of Conklin court and was remanded to the Broome County jail with no bail set at this time. His next court date is pending.
