Kennoris Lattrell Hughey has multiple aliases and appearances.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Thought to have been potentially hiding in Birmingham, a man whom the FBI was seeking in a federal drug distribution conspiracy has given himself over to law enforcement.

Brett Carr, public affairs officer with the FBI’s Jackson, Mississippi bureau, confirmed the news to CBS 42 Wednesday evening.

Kennoris Lattrell Hughey, 37, turned himself in at the Alcorn County Sheriff’s Office in Corinth, Mississippi before 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. The FBI was seeking Hughey due to his alleged involvement in drug trafficking in northeast Mississippi, starting in early 2017.

Hughey is a member of the Gangster Disciples street gang in Corinth.

On Wednesday, the FBI put out an alert, asking anyone with information on Hughey’s whereabouts to contact them. At the time, the Bureau believed that he could have been hiding anywhere in Mississippi, Alabama or Tennessee.

Hughey is now in federal custody.
