BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- The Latest, Feb. 14, 2019 --
Police have identified the victim in the Wednesday night shooting as Princeton Swain, 28. Authorities have also made an arrest in this deadly shooting. 61-year-old J.C. Hrabowski been arrested for capital murder and attempted murder.
Birmingham Police investigators are on the scene of a shooting that claimed the life of one person and injured another.
Police responded to the 1100 block of 14th Street north around 7:35 p.m. Officers arrived and found one victim lyin in the grass unresponsive. Birmingham Fire and Rescue and the Jefferson County Coroner pronounced the person dead on the scene, police report.
The second victim was sent to UAB hospital for treatment to a non-life threatening injury.
At this time, there are no suspects in custody. This is a developing story and is still under investigation.
