Birmingham Police seek leads after man shot to death in vehicle found in Ensley

ENSLEY, Ala. (WIAT) -- Birmingham Police are investigating a homicide after finding a male victim dead in a vehicle. 

33-year-old Jamal Davis was found shot to death in a vehicle in the 3200 block of Avenue D, according to Sgt. Williams. Davis was discovered just before 8 a.m. Wednesday morning. 

Officers were dispatched to the scene at 7:44 a.m. on a reported suspicious vehicle with airbags deployed. When they arrived, the found Davis inside suffering from a gunshot wound. 

Birmingham Police say there are no leads at this time in the investigation. Investigators are hopeful someone may have seen a possible suspect in the area given the time of the incident.
