Birmingham police search for man involved in robbery at an ABC Store

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Birmingham Police are searching for a man involved in a robbery from last week.

On Thursday Aug. 16 around 6 p.m., the suspect went to the ABC Store in the 1700 block of Finley Blvd. He proceeded to the counter with a bottle of liquor and lifted his shirt showing the clerk that he had a gun in his waistband and demanded money. Prior to the clerk giving the suspect money, he began to grab cash from the register, according to Birmingham Police.

The suspect is described as a black man wearing a red, white and blue shirt. He also wore a white cap and had dreadlocks. He left the business fleeing behind the building. 

There were no injuries during the robbery.
