UPDATE JAN. 2, 2019 —
The Birmingham Police announced Wednesday that an arrest was made in connection with multiple robbery investigations that date back to December.
Warrants were obtained for Reginald Blocker, 22, and he was arrested for two counts of first-degree robbery from Walgreens on Clairmont Road.
Investigators also obtained two robbery warrants on Blocker for the robbery of the CVS store on Montclair Road on Dec. 10, 2018, police report. They are also anticipating an additional robbery warrrant in another ongoing investigation. Blocker has recently been charged in a similar robbery in a neighboring city.
At this time, he remains in the Jefferson County Jail with a total bond of $210,000.

The Birmingham Police Department reports that detectives are conducting two robbery investigations with what appears to be the same suspect. Investigators need the public’s assistance to identify the suspect.
On Monday December 10, 2018 at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers from the East Precinct responded to the ABC store located on Crestwood Boulevard to investigate a report of a robbery. Officers arrived to find that the suspect entered the business and took several bottles of alcohol. While fleeing, the suspect threatened to shoot the cashier.
On Monday December 24, 2018 at approximately 3:49 p.m., officers from the South Precinct responded to the Hibbett’s Shoe store located in the 300 block of Palisades Boulevard. Officers arrived to find that the suspect entered the business and took several clothing items. While fleeing, the suspect threatened to shoot the employees.
