Arrest made after threat to ‘shoot up’ 2 Alabama schools circulates on social media


MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Someone has been arrested following a threat that was made on social media against two schools in south Alabama.

On Thursday, school officials at Mary G. Montgomery High School and Semmes Middle School in the Mobile Public School System were made aware of a post where the writer threatened to “shoot up” the schools.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has identified the person who made the post and says the person is now cooperating with law enforcement.
