Couple found dead on Canadian Highway

CANADA (CBS & CNN) – Canadian Officials are seeking help from anyone information after two people are found dead on the highway.

Authorities say an Australian man and an American woman have been identified as the victims found dead earlier this week on a highway in British Columbia.

Lucas Fowler was identified by the Royal Canadian mounted police on Friday, along with his girlfriend, Chynna Deese from North Carolina.

The couple’s bodies were found along the remote Alaska Highway Monday morning.

Authorities are investigating the case as a double homicide. Officials say they want to speak to anyone who drove along the Highway between Sunday afternoon and Monday Morning.

They say they are also looking closely at a blue minivan found at the scene.

According to one witness she says, she saw the vehicle with its hood up and a young couple sitting nearby in lawn chairs. The witness said she was not able to stop and help because her car was full, and there was a lot of traffic around her.
