Central AL Forecast: Heating up Week 1 of July

News

RIGHT NOW: A ridge of high pressure stationed over much of the Southeast is prolonging the hot and muggy conditions we’ve been experiencing. Rain chances begin increasing again late this week.

TONIGHT: Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible through sunset. Expect a partly cloudy sky overnight and temperatures settling in the mid 70s.

TUESDAY: A dry and sunny start to your morning and by lunchtime we will already see temperatures climbing into the 90s with “feels like” temperatures in the 100s. Tuesday will be our driest day of the week, but a stray shower cant be ruled out.

THROUGH WEEK’S END: The ridge of high pressure situated over us will begin to flatten; therefore, increasing afternoon rain chances through Sunday, but nothing to cancel your plans over. Temperatures will continue to trend in the 90s with a partly cloudy sky finishing off the week.
