TONIGHT: The dreary weather will continue into this evening and overnight. The rain should turn lighter and more isolated, on the plus side. If anything, we’ll see a couple light passing showers. Temperatures will remain mild in the 70s.
TUESDAY: Tuesday will also feature a solid chance of rain, although it won’t be quite as prolonged, nor as scattered, as the rain today. Expect a mostly cloudy sky overhead for a majority of the day…maybe a few pockets of sun in the afternoon and that’s it. High temperatures will be in the mid 80s with high humidity.
WEDNESDAY: Not much changes with the current pattern expected for Wednesday. Passing showers and storms likely in the afternoon…putting Wednesday’s rain chance at 40%. Highs will be slightly warmer in the upper 80s with high humidity.
THURSDAY-FRIDAY: A cold front will pass through Central Alabama late Wednesday night/early Thursday morning…a much needed change of pace! The drier air coming in will bring the sunshine back out Thursday. Plan for a nice day to be outside Thursday afternoon! No chance of rain. Highs should be in the upper 80s with lower humidity, cool morning temperatures in the mid 60s.
Model guidance is hinting at that dry pocket not sticking around for very long…the deeper moisture should start creeping back North into our area Friday. That means the humidity will be increasing Friday as will slight chances of rain. Putting Friday’s rain chance at 20%. Highs in the upper 80s, lows in the upper 60s.
THIS WEEKEND: Essentially, we’ll return to typical summer weather this weekend with high humidity and small chances of pop-up showers and storms in the afternoon. Luckily, it won’t be too hot by August standards. Highs expected in the upper 80s, lows in the 70s.
