Central AL Forecast: Better storm chances for Friday

We hope everyone enjoyed the Fourth and are gearing up for a long weekend. If you have the day off and are looking to continue the outdoor plans, there will be a few more chances for you to see wet weather. Rain chances will increase through the afternoon with better coverage than what we saw yesterday. If you don’t see the rain, temperatures will once again rise to the low 90s and maybe get to the mid 90s in the warmest spots.

The weekend will be a bit of a mixed bag as far as rain chances are concerned. We’ll see a decrease in coverage for Saturday while highs jump into the low and mid 90s for the afternoon. Sunday coverage looks to go back into the scattered category and highs will be a few ticks lower overall. Just keep your eye out for showers and storms that form near you.

As we start next work week, rain chances take a dive into the highly isolated category and temperatures warm up. Showers and storms will be few and far between and highs will rise to the low and mid 90s with feels like temperatures in the triple digits.
