We’ll watch a cold front approach Central Alabama today, leading to more humidity and increased rain chances. Scattered showers in our west thig morning will give way to a few more in our eastern counties this afternoon. Temperatures will sit in the upper 80s and low 90s this afternoon, depending on where the rain forms.
Wednesday as the front and trough get closer, our rain chances will increase. Look for a 40-50% rain coverage for the late morning and early afternoon as temperatures stay in the upper 80s for most with just a few in the low 90s. A couple of thunderstorms are also possible packing some gusty wind and heavy rain, but severe weather is not likely.
The front just sits in the Deep South without much movement, so look for our weather to become pretty much stagnant with small fluctuations in rain chances to end the week. Temperatures will stay in the upper 80s to low 90s range Thursday and Friday, and not much changes with rain chances or temperatures for the weekend.
