A Center Point man was charged with attempted murder for his role in a shooting that occurred on Tuesday.
Police arrested 19-year-old Montavius Spearman in connection with a shooting that left two people injured on Center Point Parkway. According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, two people were injured by flying glass after shots were fired into their vehicle.
Deputies responded to a call of a person shot in the parking lot of a drug store. No one was shot during the incident, but a man and a woman were treated for their injuries from glass at a local hospital.
According to investigators, Spearman had an ongoing feud with a person in the victims’ car. When he saw the car driving down Center Point Parkway, he fired shots at the vehicle.
In addition to attempted murder, Spearman is charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle, attempting to elude, unlawful possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Spearman is being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a $20,900 bond.
