BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Integrity Salon Spa held its second annual cut for the cure event. The event featured live hair cutting techniques, a DJ and a presentation for breast cancer survivors.
Brandie Patterson, owner of Integrity Salon Spa and founder of Cut For the Cure says the event was more about having fun, “ We’re here today because we just wanna try to give back to families who have been affected by or in [a] financial need that are actually going through the process right now, so that’s why we’re here today, we’re here for a cause. Hair stylers are here to have fun, to have a good time, but at the end of the day it’s to cut for a cause”
Patterson said she was inspired to start this event after two of her close clients were diagnosed.
