CBS 42 News and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Birmingham are partnering to help Birmingham youth by pairing them with mentors.
Ashley and London are a Big Brothers Big Sisters success story who have been matched together for 2 years. Their mentorship is exactly what the organization hopes to achieve.
“We get to do a lot of stuff together: listen to music, ride in the car, go to church together and stuff like that,” Ashley Terry, the big sister said. “So it’s been really really fun.”
“I actually fell in love with her the first time,” Little Sister London said. “And ever since then she’s been my favorite sister.”
You can be a big sister or brother to the dozens of children on a waiting list, hoping to find a mentor to help them achieve their dreams.
“Oh yeah yeah, she’s helped me too,” Terry said. “Because she’s great.”
