Calhoun County sees downed trees, power lines in wake of storm

PIEDMONT, Ala. (WIAT) — The Calhoun County EMA tells CBS 42 that two roads saw significant storm damage: Bryant Road in Ohatchee and Possum Trot Road in Piedmont.

CBS 42 arrived at both scenes and found first responders clearing trees and foliage from the roadways. Debris was cleared from Bryant Road by 9:00 P.M. Thursday night. Crews had to remove debris and reattach downed power lines at Possum Trot Road. First responders at Possum Trot Road told CBS 42 that they were restoring power shortly after 10:00 P.M.

The Calhoun County EMA is not reporting any injuries or home damage at this time.
