Montgomery, Ala. (WIAT) — After a record setting career, Pinson Valley Quarterback Bo Nix added one more accolade to his resume before heading on to the world of college football.
Nix was named 2018 Mr. Football at the annual awards banquet in Montgomery on Tuesday.
Nix, who is enrolled at Auburn for the spring semester, reset the AHSAA 12,000 Career total yards and 121 touchdowns, while leading the Indians to their 2nd consecutive 6A State Championship.
Nix is the 6th Auburn commit in the last 11 years to be named Alabama Mr. Football, joining the likes of Asa Martin, Jeremy Johnson, Kerryon Johnson and Roc Thomas.
