BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Birmingham’s new professional football team, The Birmingham Iron, is preparing for their second game of the season tomorrow. The team will be greeted by a growing fan base cheering them on.

Motorists were excited after receiving free tickets to the game from police. Officers passed out the Birmingham Iron tickets yesterday at the West Precinct. The giveaway is part of the Iron’s plans to honor hometown heroes, including police and firefighters.

The game is tomorrow afternoon at one o’clock against the Salt Lake Stallions.
