BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Birmingham will host a supply drive to assist in the Hurricane Michael relief effort.
The city’s supply drive will take place Tuesday, October 16 through Friday, October 19 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at the Boutwell Auditorium.
Items that are being collected:
- Canned goods
- Bottled water
- Cleaning supplies (brooms, mops, gloves, cleaners, disinfectants, trash bags, etc.)
- Tarps
- Shovels
- Garden rakes
- Work gloves
- Hammers
- 5-gallon buckets
They will not be accepting clothing items nor shoes for the supply drive. Volunteers will unload cars as motorists pull up to the Boutwell Auditorium.
Hands On Birmingham will assist in the volunteer effort. Any individual or group interested in volunteering can sign up here.
