BIRMINGHAM, Ala (WIAT) — The Birmingham Hammers schedule for their first season of professional soccer was released Tuesday along with the schedules for the entire National Premier Soccer League Southeast Conference.
The Hammers will have a friendly at home on April 30th against Sandy Springs FC of the United States Association Football Leagues to warm up for their first season in a recognized professional league. The first match in the NPSL will be on the road against the Georgia Revolution in Atlanta on May 7th. The first NPSL home match will be against 2015 NPSL finalist Chattanooga FC on May 14th. It will be the first home professional soccer game played by a team based in Birmingham.
The Hammers season will consist of 14 games: a round-robin home and home schedule with all members of the NPSL Southeast Conference. Along with the teams mentioned above, that will also include games against the Knoxville Force, Memphis City FC, New Orleans Jesters, and Nashville FC.
All home games for the Hammers will be played at the Sicard Hollow Athletic Complex. Season passes, flex passes, and parking passes are currently on sale at birminghamhammers.com.
