BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A spokesperson for Birmingham City Schools has confirmed that a high school student with special needs was left unattended on a school bus for the “duration of the school day.”
The spokesperson said the district is conducting a full investigation into how the student had been left behind.
The parents of the student were notified and a BCS administrator visited the student and their family Tuesday.
