BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Birmingham City Council is expected to discuss an ordinance that would create a cooperation agreement between Birmingham and Fairfield.
Birmingham would send three surplus firefighting apparatus to Fairfield in exchange for assistance from Fairfield Fire and EMS when requested.
In Tuesday’s meeting, councilors could also vote to set a public hearing to amend the Druid Hills Urban renewal and redevelopment plan. City leaders want to include a major project to reduce blight around the Carraway Hospital campus.
The council meeting will be at City Hall at 9:30 a.m.
