BIBB COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — Four subjects were arrested Wednesday morning after they were spotted throwing packages over the fence at Bibb County Correctional Facility.
According to authorities, a sergeant with the Department of Corrections spotted them and attempted to make contact. Other law enforcement attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Heritage Park Drive.
The subjects drove to Brent Baptist Church on Main Street where they were later detained.
The subjects were questioned and further investigation at the correctional facility led to authorities arresting Quentin Truss, 46, John Key, 42, Heather Carroll, 27, and Lauren Grier, 25. They are all being currently held at the Bibb County Jail on a $300,000 bond.
Authorities discovered and seized over eight ounces of methamphetamine, 10 ounces of marijuana, suboxone strips as well as several other contraband items.
The four subjects were all charged trafficking methamphetamine, first-degree possession of marijuana and first-degree promoting prison contraband.
