BESSEMER, Ala. (WIAT) — Tomorrow, the Bessemer School superintendent is giving parents and students a chance to discuss the grade discrepancy that forced 12 students to be sent back to middle school.
Seventh graders thought they were jumping to the ninth grade through an accelerated course called Plato. Superintendent Keith Stewart says he thought the course was cut.
Superintendent Stewart will address the issue with the public tomorrow at a special called meeting at 5:30 p.m. at the central office in Bessemer.
