FLORENCE, Ala. (AP) — Authorities say the two missing fisherman in the Tennessee River are brothers.

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office told multiple news outlets that 29-year-old Jeremiah Sanders and 24-year-old Jacob Sanders of Florence were identified Thursday.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Johnathan Appling said crews have been searching the Tennessee River for both of them after the brother were reported missing shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday.

WHNT-TV reports that Jacob Sanders is a member of the band The Velcro Pygmies.

Appling tells the TimesDaily that searchers found their small bass boat trapped under a bridge shortly before 3 a.m. Thursday, but there were no signs of the anglers.

Appling said the men had entered the river at Florence Harbor and had been scheduled to return there.
