Arthritis Foundation’s ‘Jingle Bell Run’ benefits further research

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Nearly 600,000 Alabamians experience daily debilitating pain. What may break your heart is that 300,000 children also experience the crippling pain of arthritis. 12-year-old Maggy Banks from Birmingham is one of them.

Arthritis can rob patients of their ability to be active, that’s why Maggy is sharing her story and raising money to help other kids like her.

Join CBS42 News on Saturday, December 10 at Railroad Park for the Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run. You can show off your ugly Christmas sweater, tie on some jingle bells or jog in with your Holiday pajamas. Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. and the race begins at 9:00 a.m. All proceeds will benefit arthritis research and Camp M.A.S.H. CBS42 News Anchor Jamie Langley will be the emcee.
