Arrest made in 2004 Talladega County murder


TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall has announced an arrest has been made in a 15-year-old murder in Talladega County.

Quentin Jabar Estelle, 34, has been charged in the death of John William Hoover Jr. Hoover’s body was found on June 22, 2004 with multiple gunshot wounds.

Estelle was arrested by the Talladega County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force Sept. 10. He was later released on a $50,000 bond.

Estelle faces a maximum penalty of life in prison and up to a $60,000 if convicted.
