None injured after apartment fire on 16th Avenue in Center Point area


CENTER POINT, Ala. (WIAT) — UPDATE: A call came in at 5 a.m. of an apartment fire on the 100 block of 16th Avenue northeast in the Birmingham-Center Point area.

Because of how the apartment units sit on the Birmingham-Center Point line, both Birmingham Fire and Rescue and Center Point Fire Department responded to the scene. Multiple units were involved in the fire.

No one was injured at the time of the fire. The fire is under control.

CBS 42 is heading to the scene of an apartment fire located on the 100 block of 16th Avenue in northeast Birmingham. We are working to gather more information at this time.
