Amazon donates to Bessemer City Schools STEM program

BESSEMER, Ala. (WIAT) — Bessemer City Schools received a donation today from Amazon.

During a groundbreaking for the new fulfillment center on Tuesday the company presented a $10 thousand dollar check for a start up stem education program.

Bessemer City Schools President, Claire Mitchell said, “it will be a great advantage for them.”
Amazon says they will post hiring information two months away from opening day which is expected summer of 2019.
