MAPLESVILLE, Ala. (WIAT) – Photographer Bob Phillips describes Friday’s featured image as “thunderstorms to the right and heaven to the left.” He told CBS 42 that he went originally went to Maplesville to take pictures of eagles. However, there were storms that day, which ultimately resulted in this jaw-dropping sunset image.
Phillips said he didn’t mind–sunsets are his favorite and said they’ll never get old.
He used a Sony Alpha a6000 to take the shot. If you like what you see, you can follow along with Bob on instagram @bobthebanker1977
