1 dead, 3 children transported to hospital after morning Wylam house fire

BIRMINGHAM. Ala. (WIAT) — UPDATE (7/26/19): The victims have been identified. See related article.

4:00 p.m. – Birmingham Fire and Rescue have discovered a fourth person, who was found dead inside the house.
According to fire officials, a mom, a 3-month-old, and 5-year-old child are in serious condition in the hospital right now. And sadly a 4-year-old died in the fire.

According to Birmingham Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief Sebastian Carillo, three children, all between infant and teenage years, were taken to the hospital for treatment after a fire broke out in their home.

As of right now, the children were the only ones present in the home during the time of the fire.

A GoFundMe has been set up to support additional expenses.
