3 charged with capital murder in Bessemer slaying of 20 year old

BESSEMER, Ala. (WIAT) — Three suspects are facing capital murder charges after a 20-year-old man was shot and killed on Veteran’s Day.

Police responded to the 500 block of 7th Ave on a call of a person shot. When they arrived, they saw a black man in lying in the road, suffering gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The victim was later identified as 20-year-old DeCarlos Deandre Walker of Bessemer.  Bessemer detectives believe Walker was killed over an argument from a week before.

Three suspects, including two brothers, have been charged with capital murder: 21-year-old Steven McMillon, his brother 18-year-old Tyran McMillon, and 19-year-old Damyon Hill, all of Bessemer.

All three are being held in the Jefferson County Jail without bond.
