TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — Three brothers are now cheering together for the first time at the University of Alabama.

Jed Vaughn and his two brothers Zachary and Elijah tell CBS 42 this is a dream come true. This is the first year that all three brothers have been on the same cheer squad.

Elijah Vaughn says this new experience with his brothers is fun and lots of hard work.

“It is by far the best thing ever, I can’t believe I am actually getting to cheer with my brothers at Bama,” Elijah said.

His brother Zachary Vaughn agrees.

“Greatest experience of my life, we just got back from Dallas and getting to travel together and hang out and be on the field together it is great.  I love it.”

The three brothers are from Florida but all wanted to become cheerleaders at Alabama. According to Zachary Vaughn, it is a lot of work on the field, and he has to put in the work in the gym to make sure he’s strong enough to toss cheerleaders into the air repeatedly.

“The hardest thing about cheerleading is learning tumbling in a hurry,” Zachary said. “There is a lot of technique to it.”

Before coming to UA, the Vaughns went to Shelton State Community College. The brothers learned their skills in high school.
