BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – There is still time to sign up for the Vulcan Park & Museum Drink and Drop!  Due to weather, it has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 11th from 5:30-8:00pm.  It is the 30th year for the much-loved event.

Drink and Drop is an adult egg drop competition that allows teams and individuals to try their hand at the classic elementary/middle school assignment while enjoying an adult beverage, food, and other entertainment.

You can sign up in advance, but walk-up applicants are also welcome.  There is an entry fee of $100 or $10 for spectators who just want to see if the eggs stay ‘sunny side up’.  The Drink and Drop is the premiere fundraising event for the Vulcan Park and Museum Junior Leadership Board.

For more information on rules and how to get involved and get the forms you need–visit their website here.

The CBS 42 Morning team is feeling inspired, too.  We think we are going to split into teams and try our own egg drop.  Have some advice for us?  Have some ideas on how to get an egg to survive a 124ft. drop?  Drop us a line: reportit@cbs42.com
