BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — One Birmingham teacher is making plans to spend her $1,000 on her students with the One Class at a Time grant.
Felicete Hunter’s fourth grade reading class is fun and engaging. She offers lots of encouragement and her students respond well to it.
To keep her students engaged, she often uses tecnology in her lessons. Unfortunately, some students may not have access to compatible devices, and that causes her some concern.
“I don’t want them to feel like they can’t participate in class because they don’t have what’s needed,” Hunter said.
That is why CBS 42 surprised her with a $1,000 check. With this grant, the technology Hunter’s students need will be on its way.
“I want to purchase some iPads and Chromebooks for my class so they’ll have the technology that they need,” Hunter said.
This One Class at a Time grant was provided by eCO Credit Union.
