TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) – Rain or shine, the Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa Patriots are dedicated to getting better.
It’s year three under head coach Sam Adams after eight wins and nine wins the first two years. This season they expect more with senior running back Brian Robinson. He’ll be going to Alabama next season. This summer Hillcrest is changing things up. Last year they felt like they hit a wall in week seven and got too tired. So Adams has a new philosophy he hopes works better.
“We dialed back a little bit what we did in the summer,” Adams said. “So far we have gotten our work in, by no means taking it easy on them, but we tried not to run them in the ground like we did last year and we’re hoping that will pay off for us.”
Hillcrest starts the season this Thursday against Demopolis.
