BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – A bout of bad luck with vehicles may seem like a step back for the Hines, but 2015 brings new goals.
“Our main thing is that we want to start our tithing in church, and we’re working on building our emergency fund back that we had to empty because of our car,” said Sarah Hines.
Their coach says they are back on track and now know the importance of an emergency fund.
That has helped them to see that they can pay cash for things, even though it’s taken out of their emergency fund, because that’s what it’s there for, so they took it out of the emergency fund and they’re working on building that back up before they attack the debt snowball.
Now the Hines have a message for those wanting to find financial peace.
“Don’t panic over money. The most important thing is that you have a roof over your head, you have food and those necessities,” said Sarah Hines.
