BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — It’s time to meet the last two families competing in this year’s bigger and better than ever ēCO Savings Race!
This week, we’re meeting teams Holifield and Reid.Rachel and Cornell Hollifield
“It may seem like we have it all the way to together, but we have things that we need to work on too that we want to get better at. If we can help somebody, We want to do that because we are all in this together. We should be concerned about our fellow man,” Rachel said. The ēCO team is excited that through the Hollifield’s financial growth, we will be able to share their tips and tricks with you at home.Monika Reid
Reid is recently divorced and nearing retirement. “I don’t want to be a victim. I am just going to take ownership of this even though a lot of these things were not my choice. But I will take ownership and just move forward with it. And I’m going to make it into something good,” said Reid. The ēCO team is thrilled to have Monika as part of the race and says she is brave for opening up and sharing her story.
This year is sure to be fast, fun and unique! Family updates will play every Monday on a rotating schedule throughout our different newscasts on WIAT. If you would like to follow the teams closely throughout the race, bookmark this page as well at eCOSavingsRace.org.
