Taylor is a Kansas City native, who joined the CBS 42 team as a sports reporter/anchor in August 2021.
Her love for sports started at a young age watching the Kansas Jayhawks men’s basketball team. Taylor later went to the University of Kansas where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Taylor’s career started in the Black Hills of South Dakota, where she got her first taste of hockey. After that, she moved to Springfield, Missouri, where she covered some SEC action with the Arkansas Razorbacks and Missouri Tigers, and some of the best high school basketball, and professional golf tournaments in the nation.
Taylor has loved living in different places and telling the stories of those athletes. Over her career, Taylor has become a multi-award-winning journalist with a Missouri Broadcasters Association award for Best Sports Feature, along with two Best Sports Feature awards from the Associated Press.
In her free time, she’s probably watching college basketball, playing golf or cooking. Taylor loves to eat as much as she loves to hike, so you may see her while she’s searching for the best banana pudding in Birmingham, or out on a trail with her dog, Leo.
