Michelle Logan joined the CBS 42 team in March 2018 as the morning traffic anchor. You can watch her weekday mornings on the CBS 42 Morning News with Art Franklin.
Her wellness segment Living Well with Michelle airs on Mondays. Michelle is originally from Santa Clarita, California. She earned her journalism degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly) and minored in media, arts & technologies.
During her time at Cal Poly, Michelle worked as the broadcast news producer at the campus news station and loved anchoring weekly shows. She reported on events including the Women’s March and Milo Yiannopoulos’ campus tour. One of her favorite projects was a sitdown interview with music artist “Weird Al” Yankovic.
Most recently, Michelle interned at a local news outlet in southern California where she reported in Los Angeles County. What she loves most about journalism is the opportunity it gives to connect with people and tell their stories.
Michelle is thrilled to be in Birmingham. It was “love-at-first-bite” with Alabama barbeque, and she can’t get enough of the Southern hospitality. She’s a foodie and tries to balance her dining obsession with her passion for health and fitness. You can catch her lifting weights and enjoying the outdoors on weekends. Dancing to live music, exploring new places and listening to podcasts are her favorite ways to unwind.
