Prior to CBS-42, Emery wrote for the Opelika Observer, Opelika-Auburn News and the Auburn University school paper, the Plainsman.
At the Plainsman, Emery wrote for the Lifestyle and Campus sections before becoming Campus Editor. She graduated in 2022 from Auburn University with a degree in Journalism.
