Dee Jackson

Emmy-winning sports anchor, author and speaker Dee Jackson returns to Alabama after seven years as weekend sports anchor in Kansas City, during the greatest stretch of sports in the city’s history. Dee covered back to back World Series with the Royals, a Major League Soccer Cup title with Sporting Kansas City, saw the Chiefs go to the Super Bowl in consecutive seasons, and covered the Kansas Jayhawks in the Final Four.

No stranger to the “Great State of Alabama,” Dee was born in Birmingham and attended Alabama A&M where he played baseball. Before KC, Dee was sports director at Alabama News Network in Montgomery for 12 years, where he was recognized by the Associated Press winning multiple awards for Best Sports Story, Best Sports Feature and Best Sports Anchor.

Dee has also stepped into the arena of writing, and published a book called “The Name on the BACK of the Jersey” which tackles a variety of topics.
