
Andrea Lindenberg is a Birmingham native whose is now back at the television station where her broadcasting career started more than three decades ago.
Andrea grew up in Shelby County and graduated from Pelham High School and Auburn University. She majored in Speech Communications with a minor in Journalism.
She started working at CBS 42 right out of college and has worked in Birmingham ever since. She spent 11 years at the Fox affiliate as a reporter, then evening anchor. After taking a few years off to stay at home with her two children, she went back on the air as a morning anchor at the NBC affiliate before moving to the evening news.
Not only has Andrea been a staple in Birmingham television news, she’s also been a well-known voice in Birmingham news talk radio. She’s spent more than six years on radio, most of that time as a morning talk show host on Talk 99.5. Her reporting and anchoring has led to an impressive list of journalistic accolades including two Emmys for “Best Broadcast,” an Associated Press Award for “Best Reporter,” two Edward R. Murrow Awards; one for investigative reporting and one for her coverage at the scene the night of the Olympic Park bombing.
