State Christmas tree arrives at the Capitol building in Montgomery

The State Christmas tree will arrive at the Capitol Building at noon today in Montgomery.

The tree will be displayed on the front steps of the building.

After it’s delivery, the tree will be adorned on with lights and decorations, including special bicentennial ornaments.

A public lighting ceremony is set for 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

This year’s tree is an Eastern Red Cedar, which was grown in Bullock County.
