OLNEY, MD (WIAT) - After a week of waiting the Maryland athlete finally picked a school Friday night. Stefon Diggs chose to stay in the state donning a Maryland Terrapins hat at a local bar outside of College Park, MD on Friday night.
Diggs picked the Terps over Auburn, Ohio State & Florida.
“I want to win a championship, I want to win bowl games,” Diggs said to a packed crowd. “Where else is a better place to do it than your city?”
Maryland Head Coach Randy Edsall was among those watching the recruit's activity. He said in a statement “He is an impact player who brings a playmaking ability that will enhance our team.”
Auburn now turns its attention to Alex Kozan, an offensive lineman out of Colorado. He's expected to make a decision between Auburn & Iowa.
