TUSCALOOSA, AL (WIAT) - NFLDraftScout.com reported on Friday that Alabama safety Mark Barron will miss the NFL Combine in Indianapolis later this month due to surgery to repair a double-hernia. Barron's recovery time is expected to be anywhere between 6 & 8 weeks.
Barron was injured making a tackle against Auburn on November 26th. He went on to play in the BCS Championship Game.
Barron had 78 tackles, five pass breakups, 2 interceptions, a sack & a quarterback hurry last season.
He elected to skip the Senior Bowl last month due to the injury. It's unclear if he'll participate in Alabama's Pro Day on March 7th.
