Birmingham, AL (WIAT)-The 2012 IndyCar season will feature a brand new IndyCar, the DW12, developed under the ICONIC Plan, representing the biggest change to the sports in almost a decade.
This week teams are in town testing the new car prior to their season opener at St. Pete on March 24.
The IZOD IndyCar Series returns to Birmingham for their second race of the season scheduled for April 1, 2012.
This is part of the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama presented by Legacy at the Barber Motorsports Park.

- Kids 12 & under are free with a ticketed adult
- This year, parking is free onsite Friday and Saturday and onsite parking Sunday is available for purchase. Free offsite public parking on Sunday will be available at the Shops of Grand River with a shuttle bringing you over to the race.
