Birmingham, Al  (WIAT)  The UAB Blazers kick off the 2010 campaign tonight against Florida Atlantic University.

"Florida Atlantic's offense is extremely explosive and will be a challenge for our defense," UAB Coach Neil Callaway said. "But I'm excited about our guys and the opportunity to watch this team play. Thursday's game will be a fact-finding mission to see if we've been accurate on the assessment of our guys, but we also have to set the tone for the season."

The Blazers and Owls kick off at 7 p.m.at Legion Field.
