Tuscaloosa, AL-Alabama's Tony Mitchell has been suspended indefinitely from the team, the school announced Monday.

For the first time this season, the junior forward was not in the starting lineup against Ole Miss on Saturday night.

Alabama coach Anthony Grant said Mitchell was suspended following Saturday's game as the result of an accumulation of misconduct.

He is the team's second-leading scorer with 13.1 points per game. He trails only JaMychal Green for the team lead in rebounds. Mitchell is first in blocks with 31 and third on the team with 22 steals.

Grant said he is unsure who will take Mitchell's spot in the starting lineup against Auburn tomorrow night. Nick Jacobs started in Mitchell's place against Ole Miss.
