Tigers Hit Practice Field After Loss

AUBURN - The No. 20 Auburn football team conducted a light 45-minute workout on Sunday afternoon as the Tigers began to prepare for Saturday’s Southeastern Conference game against Arkansas.

Auburn players worked out in shells and had little contact during Sunday’s practice. The Tigers conducted group drills and worked against the scout team units during the abbreviated practice.

Prior to practice, head coach Tommy Tuberville said during his weekly teleconference that the Tigers fell to Vanderbilt Saturday because they did not execute for a full four quarters.

“We lost a game yesterday, one that we thought we could win in terms of going and playing our game and playing for four quarters, but we didn’t get it done,” said Tuberville. “Vanderbilt played a good game. They played four quarters and they finished. As I told our team, neither in coaching or playing did we finish that game. The players played hard. I thought the effort was good but somewhere down the line we have to find a way to finish a game.”

Auburn (4-2, 2-2 SEC) will look to bounce back from Saturday’s 14-13 loss at Vanderbilt when the Tigers host Arkansas (2-3, 0-2 SEC). Over the past five seasons, the Tigers are 9-1 in their first game following a loss.

The Razorbacks have dropped three straight games entering Saturday’s contest, with all three defeats coming against nationally-ranked teams.
Saturday’s game will mark the first time in Arkansas history that the Razorbacks have played four straight games against ranked opponents.

Saturday’s game begins at 4 p.m. CT at Pat Dye Field at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The game will be available on a pay-per-view basis in the states of Alabama and Arkansas to cable subscribers and small dish owners who subscribe to DirecTV or Dish Network. Fans should contact their local cable provider or small dish provider to order the game.

Other home dish owners should contact 1-800-TV-STARS to order the game.
Commercial establishments should contact their local cable company or dial 1-800-TV-STARS for feed information.
